How we check our pages

Every page on peplabo.app is written by the PepLabo editorial team. This is how we choose sources, what we leave out on purpose and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Who writes these pages

The PepLabo editorial team writes and updates every page. We are not a clinic and our pages are not reviewed by a doctor or pharmacist, so we do not label them as medically reviewed.

When a page explains what PepLabo can do, every feature it names exists in the current version of the app.

Which sources we use

We do not cite telehealth sales pages, competitor blogs or unattributed quotes. When something is not on a medicine’s label, the page says so before describing what studies report.

  • Official prescribing information and medication guides (US FDA labels) for every medicine we discuss.
  • European product information (EMA) and Canadian product monographs where they add detail.
  • Peer-reviewed studies: randomised trials, meta-analyses, reviews, pharmacovigilance and cohort studies. We say which kind of study a statement comes from.
  • Public health agencies such as MedlinePlus, NIH and NIDDK for general explanations of symptoms.

What we never do

  • Suggest a medicine, a dose, a schedule or a change to any of them.
  • Publish ratings, user numbers or testimonials we cannot verify.
  • Present a doctor, dietitian or “clinical team” who did not write or review the page.

Dates and updates

Each page shows the date it was last updated. Pages that rely on labels or studies also show when their sources were last checked. When a label changes, we update the pages that quote it.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, write to support@peplabo.app with the page address. We check it against the source and update the page if it is wrong.
