Half-life calculator

Enter a half-life, your dose and how often you take it. The chart shows how the amount from each dose adds up and fades over time.

Calculated in your browser. Nothing is sent.

An estimate from the numbers you enter, using simple exponential decay. It is not a blood level and not medical advice.

How the estimate works

  1. One dose

    Remaining = dose × 0.5^(time ÷ half-life).

  2. Many doses

    Each dose decays on its own; the curve is the sum of all of them at every point in time.

  3. Leveling off

    With a fixed dose and interval, the total stops rising after roughly four to five half-lives.

Questions

What does half-life mean?

The time it takes for half of an amount to be cleared. After each half-life, what remains halves again.

Is this my blood level?

No. It is a simple model based only on the numbers you enter. Real levels depend on many personal factors.

Where do I find the half-life?

From the product information or your clinician. PepLabo does not fill it in for you.
