Sleep and hydration on a GLP‑1 or peptide routine

Two quiet habits shape how a routine feels: sleep and fluids. Short nights make side effects feel worse, and the GLP-1 labels specifically warn about dehydration. Both are easy to log and easy to read back.

How much sleep do adults need?

The CDC lists 7 or more hours a night for adults aged 18–60, and 7–9 hours for ages 61–64.[1] The 2015 consensus statement from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Sleep Research Society reached the same figure for adults and noted that regularly sleeping less is linked with poorer health.[2]

On a GLP-1 medicine, nausea or reflux at night, night sweats in perimenopause or a newborn can all cut sleep short. A sleep log makes it easier to see whether bad nights cluster around dose days.

How much should I drink?

The National Academies’ dietary reference intakes for water count total water — from drinks and from food — and note that needs vary with climate, activity and health. There is no one number for everyone.[3]

The Wegovy® and Zepbound® labels warn of acute kidney injury in people who became dehydrated from nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea, and ask patients to drink fluids and report persistent symptoms promptly.[4][5] Eating less also means less water from food.

What does PepLabo not do?

PepLabo does not set a sleep or water target for you or judge whether you are dehydrated. You choose the goals; it keeps the record.

Questions

How much water should I drink on a GLP-1 medicine?

There is no single number. Needs depend on body size, climate, activity and health.[3] The labels ask you to drink fluids to reduce the risk of dehydration;[4] agree a target with your clinician if you need one.

Does PepLabo set my water goal?

No. You choose the daily goal; PepLabo shows how much is left and keeps the history.
